Our relationship with Ajinomoto dates back to 1999. Carl A. Nelson & Company was selected to complete the build-out for the first Technology and Engineering Center in the United States located in Eddyville, Iowa. We began design-build services for the interior construction of this 8,000 SF structural steel shell facility. The TECUS Research and Development Lab Building houses office space, conference rooms, lounge, storage, cafeteria and kitchen, document and media storage, a 2,200 SF laboratory and lab storage.
Since this project was completed, we have provided professional design-build services on two other additions to TECUS lab totaling over 4,500 SF, making this building approximately 13,000 SF. The additions are adjacent to and above the existing facility. Construction of these additions sometimes encapsulated entire existing production area.
The Ajinomoto manufacturing campus in Eddyville produces feed grade lysine and threonine.
