Carl A. Nelson & Company was awarded Bid Package #2 by the City of Fairfield, Iowa, to complete improvements at its Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Work included in the bid package was:
- construction of a new, 20 million-gallon earthen equalization basin, referred to as the Upper EQ Basin;
- construction of a new Upper EQ inlet structure, influent flow metering structure and related piping, and;
- construction of a new Upper EQ outlet structure with associated valves and piping.
Associated site grading, gravel paving, valving, piping, seeding, electrical, control equipment and SCADA system improvements also were included.
