Company representatives took part in a ceremonial opening of a new front entry at Climax Molybdenum in Fort Madison, Iowa.

FORT MADISON, Iowa — Company officials joined employees, builders, designers, local officials and members of the local business community Oct. 4, 2023, for the ceremonial opening of a new front entry weigh scale, truck parking and plant entrance at the Climax Molybdenum plant.

Climax President Mike Kendrick cut the ribbon, along with plant General Manager Javier Guevara.

Carl A. Nelson & Company representatives were in attendance to celebrate successful completion of the project. CANCO was general contractor for the project, which transformed the main entry to the plant. In addition to the new scale, the project features freshly paved concrete parking for semis to queue up prior to entering the scale. The project also separated light from heavy vehicular traffic upon entrance to the property.
