CANCO's Jake Woods promoted to superintendent role Jake Woods, Project Superintendent

4 months, 3 weeks ago

The long-time field employee of Carl A. Nelson & Company earned promotion while working on addition and renovation projects for Fort Madison CSD.

After getting his start in construction with Carl A. Nelson & Company, Jake Woods has been promoted to the position of project superintendent with the firm.

Jake has been a member of our field team since 2003, when he was assigned to work on several building additions at Roquette America in Keokuk, Iowa. Twenty-one years later, he has been busy at the time of his promotion leading the closeout of addition and renovation projects for the Fort Madison Community School District. Previously a Project Foreman, Jake had been assisting with leadership of the Construction Management Agency project in Fort Madison to convert the middle school to a PK-6 elementary school, and the high school into a 7-12 attendance center. After taking the lead wrapping up that project, Jake moved up to Burlington to take over field supervision of another CM Agency project, the ongoing renovations at Burlington High School.

“Jake is a proven leader and well respected among his peers,” General Superintendent Mike Harris said in an internal announcement of the promotion.

Please join us in congratulating Project Superintendent Jake Woods on this well-deserved promotion.
