The company-owned building has elbow room for a growing staff and space to accommodate more.
Carl A. Nelson & Company (CANCO) is pleased to announce the relocation of its Cedar Falls office to a new, larger and company-owned building. The move to 3508 Terrace Drive in Cedar Falls, just off University Avenue, was completed on June 11, 2024, and members of the CANCO North team have been busy settling in to their new quarters.
"We believe the new office will serve us well, help continue to attract and retain talent, serve as a nice place for client meetings, and enable collaboration — all with future growth," said Jamie Stanley, CANCO North Vice President of Operations and member of the Board of Directors.

Stanley was the sole employee of the new North office in Waterloo when it opened in 2008. After several years on his own, the North office started to grow and continues to, driving multiple moves over the years. Today, a team of 10 works in the CANCO North office.
The company purchased the Terrace Drive building in February 2024, with the expectation that it will provide sufficient space for many years of continued growth, and cement the company's commitment to the Cedar Valley.
Located in a building originally designed and constructed as a commercial color lab for a local photography company, the new North office facility offers space on three levels, and required only a small investment to be made move-in ready. Compared to the previous location, the new office is a significant change, with an open floor plan rather than private offices; and a large conference/training room, among other more user-friendly spaces.
An open house and ribbon-cutting will be scheduled at a later date.

Today, the company works across Iowa and around the United States as a Design-Builder, Construction Manager and General Contractor, building projects and providing pre-construction and other services for industrial, commercial and institutional clients. The firm is owned by 27 employee-shareholders representing office and field leadership.
