Allied Blending marks completion of 50,000 SF project with ceremony at Keokuk, Iowa, plant.

KEOKUK, Iowa — Members of the project team from Carl A. Nelson & Company helped celebrate completion of an industrial client's expansion, a 50,000 SF warehouse and packaging addition at the plant here.

With only finishing touches still to go after a year of construction, Allied Blending welcomed company dignitaries, local team members, local elected officials, members of the Keokuk area business community and others, including U.S. Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks, whose district includes Keokuk. Miller-Meeks joined company officials for a Sept. 5, 2024, ceremony to cut a ribbon on the improvements.

Carl A. Nelson & Company served as design-builder for the project, leading design, self-performing much of the construction, and managing the work of subcontractors.

Allied Blending's Keokuk plant is engaged with the production of food products including cheese, anti-caking and plant-based products, and more. In addition to warehouse and packaging facilities, the scope of the project included renovations of the production tower, as well as employee welfare and life safety improvements.
