CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Carl A. Nelson & Company (CANCO) is proud to announce the promotion of Trevor Brown to the role of Project Manager. Trevor joined CANCO as a project engineer following his graduation in 2017 from the Construction Management program at the University of Northern Iowa.

"He has developed the skills to successfully estimate and manage projects including multiple small and major projects for significant clients," said Jamie Stanley, vice president of operations in CANCO's Cedar Falls, Iowa, office, where Brown is based.

Brown, a native of western Iowa near Carroll who got started in construction working summers after high school building houses and pole buildings, and getting a taste of project management, has worked primarily on industrial and utility-related projects during his five years with Carl A. Nelson & Company. As a shareholder, he is one of 32 employee-owners of the 109-year-old, Burlington, Iowa-based design-build, construction management and general contracting company.

In addition to a bachelor of science degree in Construction Management, Brown is accredited through the American Institute of Constructors and has attained OSHA 30-Hour safety certification. He serves as a member of the advisory board for the Construction Management program at UNI.

Trevor and his wife, Sara, reside in Cedar Falls, where they are active in Prairie Lakes Church. They also are engaged in missions work with Jonathan's House, an orphanage, school and clinic in Central African Republic.
